Ahead of this weekend's Berlin E-Prix, Cupra KIRO has announed that FIA Formula 3 driver Callum Voisin will drive for the team during the annual in-season Rookie Test in Berlin next Monday.

Held at the Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit one day after the 2025 Berlin E-Prix, the test represents a vital opportunity for teams to complete additional running and provides a unique opportunity for next generation drivers to continue their professional development.

Having secured its first Formula E victory in Jakarta, Cupra Kiro has announed that Callum Voisin will get his first taste of the series’ state-of-the-art GEN3 Evo machinery in Berlin.

The British racer won the highly competitive GB3 Championship in only his second season of single-seater competition in 2023.

Since last year, the 19-year-old has raced in the FIA Formula 3 Championship and secured his maiden win in the series at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, achieving a Grand Slam by claiming pole position and setting the fastest lap.

With one podium this season, Voisin sits ninth in the Formula 3 Drivers’ Standings after taking a pair of eighth place finishes in the series’ most recent race weekend in Austria.

Speaking of the test, Cupra Kiro's team boss Alex Hui noted: “We’re very pleased to welcome Callum to CUPRA KIRO for Formula E’s upcoming Rookie Test in Berlin. His rapid rise through the ranks of single-seater racing has been exciting to watch and speaks volumes about his natural talent and work ethic.

"From his GB3 title win to some standout performances in Formula 3, Callum has a rare blend of speed, intelligence, and composure at the wheel – traits which make him one of the most promising young British drivers in motorsport today.

"Formula E presents a unique technical and strategic challenge, and we’re looking forward to seeing how Callum approaches this opportunity. The Rookie Test is a vital platform for identifying future talent, and supporting the next generation is central to our long-term vision.”

Commenting on the news, Voisin noted: “I’m thrilled to be joining CUPRA KIRO for the Berlin Rookie Test and to get my first experience of Formula E.

"The team has had an incredible growth trajectory this season, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with them in a professional environment.

"I’ve been following Formula E for a long time, and I’m really looking forward to learning everything I can, both in the car, and from Dan [Ticktum] and David [Beckmann]. The GEN3 Evo will be an exciting challenge, and I can’t wait to get started.”
