Ecclestone determined to cut out Silverstone if facilities aren't upgraded

Formula One supremo, Bernie Ecclestone, has said in the British newspaper 'The Times' that Lewis Hamilton can not save the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Ecclestone wants to cut Silverstone out of the Grand Prix calender after 2009 if it fails to upgrade its facilities.

Ecclestone said: "I am a realist. I travel the world and get people to try to build nice circuits and good facilities for the press, the public and everybody else and we are tolerating what we have at Silverstone and it’s not going to happen. The BRDC have known for five or six years what they need to do and they’ve done absolutely nothing.”
