FIA claims it received new evidence in espionage case

In a statement, Formula One's governing body, the FIA, declared that they have received new evidence relating the espionage controversy involving both Ferrari and McLaren. As new evidence has come to light, the Court of Appeal hearing, scheduled for next week, will be replaced by a hearing of the World Motorsport Council in Paris on the same date, September 13.

FIA statement "Following the receipt of new evidence the World Motor Sport Council has been reconvened for a hearing in Paris on September 13th. In accordance with its decision of July 26th representatives of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes have been invited to attend the hearing.

The FIA President’s referral of the matter to the International Court of Appeal has been withdrawn."
