BMW tests new mechanical parts

Avoiding quite low track temperatures in the early morning (around 6 °C) the team started proper testing not before 11 a.m. Both Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld worked on the set- up of the F1.08 using some new mechanical parts. Although low temperatures and a number of red flag interruptions meant that both drivers couldn’t do as many laps as originally planned, the changes showed promising results. Robert also conducted several pit stop exercises.

What comes next: Testing continues for two more days in Barcelona. Tomorrow Robert Kubica is scheduled to test new parts to fine-tune the aerodynamics of the new BMW Sauber F1.08. Both he and Nick Heidfeld will also continue to work on the mechanical setup.
