Heidfeld dreaming about future ... and title

Despite already boasting a long and successful career in racing, Nick Heidfeld still has great plans for the future: the BMW Sauber F1 Team driver's ultimate goal is to become Formula One World Champion. He also has another dream to fulfil once his Formula One career is over.

Heidfeld has a close bond with the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. As a child he spent a lot of time in the "Green Hell", and even learned to ride a bike at the classic 20km circuit. When his active Formula One career draws to a close, he is keen to compete in more races round the track in the Eifel region. "The 24-hour race at the Nürburgring is certainly one ambition," says Nick.

The German already has experience of the Nordschleife: in April last year, Nick took a BMW Sauber F1.06 round the track. "That was indescribable, and an outstanding moment for me. I will never forget it."

However, until he returns to the Nordschleife, Nick's full concentration is devoted to the BMW Sauber F1 Team. This year the team is determined to achieve its first race victory. However, Nick has set his sights on a much greater goal: "Over the last two years, things have really been looking up, and I still hope that I can win the title," says the 30-year-old.
