Red Bull Racing driver David Coulthard will not participate in the second free practice session for the Malaysian Grand Prix. This is a result of his accident during the first session. The RB4 was badly damaged after DC ran over a kerb and suffered major suspension damage. The team will now repair the car and will not run until they have resolved the problem.

A statement of the team read: "During David Coulthard's accident in this morning's first practice session, his RB4 sustained substantial peripheral damage.

"With safety the team's primary concern as always, it has been decided that David will not run in this afternoon's session. This will allow the team sufficient time to investigate the causes of the incident and to ensure that the car is fully and properly repaired prior to tomorrow's final free practice session."
