Schumi wants to forget about Spa 2005

Michael Schumacher is hoping that his memories of Sunday's race at Spa-Francorchamps lasts as long as his race did - less than 30 minutes. The German's race came to an end on lap 14 when he was hit from behind by Takuma Sato.

It was a bitter blow for Schumi, who was hoping for a good result at Spa, a track he's excelled at in the past. Schumi was driving a good race until he got hit an slipped of the track.

Michael Schumacher "This is certainly one of the moments during the season that I will try to forget as soon as possible. I am sure we will come out of it soon, despite Sunday's initial anger. I think that being forced to pull out of a race after a completely senseless accident really is stupid. I can say that the race didn't go as I hoped it would, that is that it would have rained immediately after the start and that we would have been able to climb the field. Unfortunately it didn't rain and the race went in an unexpected way. I believe I would have scored some points and, taking into account Montoya's incident, I could have done even better. Anyway, the ifs, buts and maybes do not form part of my vocabulary."
