Alonso tried to go for fastest lap at the end of the race, pitted for new mediums but couldn't beat the last lap from LEC on 34 lap old Hards.

Charles really creamed the field, that was absolutely dominant, his obssession with the fastest lap showed how much he had in hand.
Shame about Carlos, putting him on hards was a bad decision, proved it again by the others who started on hard, but he has to take some responsibility for how he drove this opening laps, always putting his car in the wrong piece of track.
Red Bull not only isn't fast enough it's very unreliable, beating only Alonso's Alpine.

Good race by Russell and Albon.

Yeah, I don't think Hards were the problem. Felt bad for Carlos yesterday, but today he should have played the long game.

Fantastic race by Charles and the Ferrari looked great. I think this tyre management advantage is what Ferrari were expecting in Jeddah with their higher downforce settings - the lack of long runs in FP2 probably skewed their understanding.

Anyway, far too early to be making proclamations about championships. Even one dnf for Charles and it can all change - we saw that last year - but us Ferrari fans will certainly take it for now

Yeah, a lot of people giving Sainz a lot of slack. Yes he had a little of bad luck in quali but ultimately could have still done a better job and, although hard tyres probably weren’t great at the beginning, he was putting his car in all the wrong places and ultimately his fault.

I think he’s frustrated that he has a front running car but his teammate is quicker and it’s starting to lead to mistakes. He can turn it around but this was a blunder today, as big points (possibly even a podium) were on the cards if he’d just played the long game.

Alonso (who i remind you started 10th) and Magnussen got caught with the Vettel SC being too early for them to pit( even with the Max VSC it proved still too early and their tires melted down) and finished way down the order, starting on hards is too big a gamble suited for guys like... Albon.
Alonso had he started on mediums like the other competitive cars probably gets points.
While Russell on softs capitalized on the SC just fine.

Ferrari can get positions back by just being overwhelmingly fast.

A great race from Albon who showed great pace on those hards. I thought Albon had pitted on the first safety car, but apparently not. Even so, still a great drive and great tactics by Williams to score a point with the slowest car.

He might've finished even better if they did what Stroll did, in-out-in again.

Those mediums looked useless in the race today, I was hoping to see Alonso and K mag get in the mix but they fell off too quick. Was Max the only one that was complaining of graining? I’m surprised the whole field didn’t put within 10 laps lol

Tbh it looked like the Ferrari and the Merc didn't mind the mediums. Merc probably because they are so much slower though
