Max himself isn’t expecting next year to be like this. I have never caught him law balling something big.
He said the same/similar things after 2022 and about the rb18.. at the time it felt like it would be very difficult for max to have a better season than that one - 15 wins, 68% win etc

With that, the rb19 has surpassed the MP4/4. Best car ever built and best season by a driver by any metric

Yes, me too. For the RB18 for sure it would be a difficult to predict, Mercedes was also bullish about their car and it looked super impressive. The RB19 I think they must have known, much lighter. This year he does really sound quite sure it won’t be the same next year. But let’s see, more windtunnel time again. Updates not brought now.

The fastest but not best by many metrics. Lost multiple GP on pure pace

W11 won ~76% of races it entered, not ~95%. Laptime comparisons are the territory of people who keep hooting and hollering about the Porsche 919 EVO, ie people who do not understand that a car's season-long performance within the ruleset it was designed in matters more than its absolute speed. The W11 isn't even Mercedes' most succesful car by a win percentage metric, let alone F1's most succesful car.

The RB19 is statistically the most succesful F1 car in the championship's history.

It turns out you understand really well what is the difference between 'the best' and 'the most successful statistically'. Well done! Not sure what was that rant for really.
Statistically most succesful is a longer way of saying ''best''. Again, pace comparisons are the territory of people who keep talking about the 919 EVO. If you want to argue silly semantics instead of statistics, the W11 lost two grands prix on pace and the RB19 lost one, which still sounds like the RB19 is the better car to me.

A rule of tumb to evaluate a cars performance is also to look at the win rate of the second driver: based on that the RB19 isn't, i haven't checked but there were less 1-2 finishes than in the golden years of Mercedes. It says also much about VER being a superb driver.
