yes indeed, Russell as well. Should be like this:

I couldn't verify which used set LEC used at the end of Q2, though. So his best set of softs could also be 3 laps old.

it barely made any difference. the wing is bending nearly as much or just as much as before. i don't know where that Idea came from that the wings won't be bending anymore. these TD never worked really. Teams just go around those static tests. If the FIA started to do real policing - ie looking at their cameras taking video evidence, then it would change something most definitely. But they already said - it would be too much work for a crew of 50 extra staff they do not have.CjC wrote: ↑31 May 2025, 17:34Seriously?pantherxxx wrote: ↑31 May 2025, 17:16Well, it's pretty clear by now that the new TD actually helps McLaren. It's a shame for the whole FIA for doing this — it's like they're intentionally working against having a close and interesting championship. Why favor a team that already had the best car? It makes no sense at all.
Sorry, thanks for your reply but I made a terrible 1 word post.avantman wrote: ↑31 May 2025, 17:39it barely made any difference. the wing is bending nearly as much or just as much as before. i don't know where that Idea came from that the wings won't be bending anymore. these TD never worked really. Wasn't Max protecting his tyres with a yellow sector in S1 for the lap to have them at the end compared to Mclaren.,avantman wrote: ↑31 May 2025, 17:36yes, of course. and I hope we all can now finally put the idea that the only advantage Mclaren car has is its ability to protect its tires from overheating to bed, after Max set purple third sector during the hottest qualifier of the year on the most demanding track.
That car is simply the best by far car aerodynamically.
Max didn't have any tow from anyone on any run in Q3.
too bad, last year he got a tenth and almost a tenth pole with it. an extra tenth from a tow would be handy today.
of course not, who protects tires in quali? if only the sky commentators that are pushing this strange idea all the time.Dee wrote: ↑31 May 2025, 17:58Wasn't Max protecting his tyres with a yellow sector in S1 for the lap to have them at the end compared to Mclaren.,avantman wrote: ↑31 May 2025, 17:36yes, of course. and I hope we all can now finally put the idea that the only advantage Mclaren car has is its ability to protect its tires from overheating to bed, after Max set purple third sector during the hottest qualifier of the year on the most demanding track.

With a tow, he could have been in front of Lando Norris who was making plenty of mistakes again, but Lando Norris will probably still win the GP due to his superior tire management compared to his teammate PIA. What Max would do in this Mclaren...It would be utter devastation
I also gathered some tyre data according to the F1 app tyre usage and the last qualy session ...search wrote: ↑31 May 2025, 17:38yes indeed, Russell as well. Should be like this:

thanks, I use the same sources, but as mentioned above, it wasn't very reliable today. Russell's last attempt was on new softs, for example, not on used.atanatizante wrote: ↑31 May 2025, 18:29I also gathered some tyre data according to the F1 app tyre usage and the last qualy session ...
Russel doesn’t have 2 new soft tyres. It’s only 1.atanatizante wrote: ↑31 May 2025, 18:29I also gathered some tyre data according to the F1 app tyre usage and the last qualy session ...search wrote: ↑31 May 2025, 17:38yes indeed, Russell as well. Should be like this:

And here is my tyre situation for the race:
https://postimages.org/
According to Mario Isola, it seems that most strategies will be around a 2-stop race, switching the tyres between the C2-medium tyre and C3-soft tyre.
Interesting note: LEC has 2 new medium C2 tyres and RUS has 2 new soft C3 tyres, hence LEC might do an M-M-S and RUS an S-M-S strategy.
As for the front runners, they will all start on M tyres and it seems that an M-S-S or probably an M-M-S strategy will be the most favorite choice in the race ...
