I think we are going in circles, discussing and speculating what the 'big problem' with the SF25 is.
My take is very simple - they have an UTTER BASIC issue when they married the aero with the suspension , and are finding it super hard to solve it with band-aid fixes. They have found clever ways to hide this simple fact from the fans, using complicated technical jargon and anecdotal interviews. If the problem isn't 'baked in utter basic' they would have already found a fix after 14 races. There is no excuse for 'revamping' the SF24, going into the last year of the regs, without really having a clear mastery over the regulations, and then landing in this quagmire. Ferrari have dug themselves into a hole. It's as simple as that.

But there is so much 'money' to be made for youtubers and bloggers and vloggers and other social media personnel, that any 'verbal diarrhoea' on this topic is becoming 'technical content'. Let us folk in this forum not degrade ourselves into the same cesspool.
By most accounts, getting the suspension/ride height and aerodynamics working together in harmony(and without a bunch of bouncing) is literally the big key to these regulations. It's not fair to ding Ferrari for trying to push further on this, as NOT doing it, and simply continuing with the good, but flawed foundation of the SF24 was never, ever gonna be enough to challenge this year.

Yes, Ferrari failed in this endeavor, but blaming them for trying at all seems small-sighted.

If that’s where Charles is, then you know they don’t have much to work with this weekend. Even less than usual.

I'll take P6 and P7 given how terrible the car has been this weekend and it looking like one of them wouldn't make it to Q2. But saying all that, they decided to do their worst laps at the end of Q3

They made some progress since yesterday but the car looked mighty unpredictable in Q3 where they both struggled a lot. I'm doubtful higher than P4 is possible tomorrow but like Luscion said I was worried about even making Q3, so I can't complain about starting in the third row..

From Leclerc just now-
"This weekend, especially yesterday, I was trying to find results that maybe weren't there. We went through many different settings and setups looking for more pace but this meant we couldn't find any consistency in the feeling of the car. The car is very complicated to drive, there's more things to manage."

Reminds me of how the drivers talked about the car after Barcelona last season.

This has never been a good track for Ferrari and hopefully it’s more of a blip than a trend. McLaren’s advantage was emphasised here and then there was everyone else struggling - Max was close enough mainly because he as the driver maximised the lap, as other drivers faltered (evidenced by how Hadjar slipped in among them).

I suspect race pace will be better but with little ability to use it in traffic, so they’ll probably try to go long. I expect Monza, Baku and Singapore will all be a lot stronger, so it’s nice to have that run coming up next.

We're gonna be like 15 seconds off 3rd place by the first pit window. And that's assuming the race is dry and straightforward.

read somewhere (probably a newsfeed popup in my phone) that LeClerc claimed of "losing 90% of time to the McLarens in just 2 corners"
data doesn't show that to be the case :
Image
losing time in 1,3, 7-8-9, 11-12 .... basically almost everywhere

That comment was made after FP2 if I recall correctly and it was true then. They were losing ~7 tenths in 8-9-10.

They must have made changes to the car to try and balance it out a bit, because friday was really bad.

The car is strong in sector 2. It could be a setup compromise to save the tyres in the race.
