Yes, if I'm actually being serious, I did wonder if that is used with flow viz. I don't know. Plus some of the car is black, plus it's a different green.

If it was a problem, there are othere colors of flow-vis. I remember seeing orange and red flow-vis.

If they were going for UV lights they would be using paint transparent in the optical range, so no-one else could see the flow around the car.

You explained it yourself. This is an efficiency formula since 2014. The most powerful ICE is the one that releases less heat, and more the heat that is retained is converted in expanding the air that pushes the pistons down.

Unless its aero related I think the only reason is the top wing element fails its flex test or something without it.

Just a metal arm there, no big bow over the top.
The arm is in carbon fibre though.

What is that carbon fiber arch over the rw actuator pod doing? Seems excessive just to stiffen things up.
You’re seeing some difference in barge board philosophy related to side-pod interaction.
The arch is a neat solution to maintain the centre pivot location on the rear wing, it gives them a smaller pod body in comparison with others.
