Lots of F1 rookies too, They may wreak havoc with the fast cars because they have no experience in being passed in Formula One.
In Trulli's defence, he is really famous for leading trains yes, but I hardly remember any occasions when he was actually blocking his opponents against the rules; if the others were unable to overtake, either because of current F1 cars' aero, lack of places to overtake in current F1 tracks or simply because they were quicker but not quicker enough, surely this isn't Trulli's fault: it's all in the game!

As far as for the rookies' lack of experience in being passed in F1, well, it looks like they might have the opportunity to gain quite a lot of experience in that pretty soon!!!
I'd like to second that, not a fan of Trulli but he was almost always very fair in his driving and he wasn't known for blocking drivers who he wasn't racing when he was being lapped or in qualifying. He was just very good at positioning his car so that others struggled to overtake.

Alonso clearly beats Massa with 3 tenth in reserve. He lost that much time in the last sector.

Rosberg consistently faster than Schumacher in quali trim. I wonder how that will look in race trim. Schumacher needs more oversteer while Rosberg is happy with the way the Merc is balanced now.

Kubica runs rings around Petrov and Hülkenberg out qualifies Twobens.

The FiA investigating the Virgin wheel nut problem. Two wheels were not securely fastened to the cart. One wheel was lost on track and could have hit Glock himself or Senna who was close. They probably need to look into the ongoing practise of tuning up the nut guns. This is having a similar safety effect as the filters of the refueling rigs in 1994.

Sorry, WB, I have yet to hear of this practice, has it been discussed somewhere or can you explain what they are doing for me?

According to Sarah Holt (BBC reporter) Karun Chandhok may be allowed to qualify if they can get the car ready.

I remember Radio 5 stating that 3 laps of practice were required to take part in Quali. Karun completed none. Is that right?

Righto Karun can take part:
5Live says the he can take part as Quali is also known as Qualifying practice. Therefore can qualify.

According to Joe Saward Webber set his quickest time of FP3 on the harder tyre...this is totally unconfirmed tho....interesting taking into account people reporting the softer tyre is around 0.5sec quicker.

48min and counting to qual

Mark Surer explained that teams have increased the volume flow of compressed air to the wheel guns (probably by more air pressure) to speed up the pit stops. It obviously can lead to damage of the wheel nut mechanism.

Nice sideways action for Jaime! Properly sideways, almost drifting.

Liking the new cars. Red Bull seem really fast and quite close. Alonso looks super fast.
Sauber are on the cusp, but made it into Q2.

Edit:Vettels' first flying lap is 1s faster than his fastest lap in Q1! Must be alot easier without the traffic/dirty air.
Jackie Stewart was saying that Jarno is so difficult to pass because he can place the car where it's most difficult to pass. Not necessarily blocking. So he's slow and difficult to pass.

Edit 2: Kubica complaining of oversteer Was he not saying there was understeer earlier in the weekend? If so, Renault has gone a bit too far.

I thought he was just getting a new rear-wing with a different angle of attack. Could be a problem, if so, what kind?
at this time, only 4 of the drivers are out on track.
