If u see the laptimes, Massa was as fast or faster than Alonso most of the time
Alonso made mistakes loosing 1st an 2nd places in the process
He was stupid enough to think that he can go one the outside of the hairpin to overtake Buemi(NOT A BACKMARKER at the point) with Lewis so close behind him....and lost the race lead
and loosing second place to Button...too impatient with the backmarkers (maybe he was angling for a hand waving for Chandok

If it was MS or Lewis in that Ferrari , they would not have lost 2 positions and lost the race win
This was a low D/f track ...and Ferrari have lack of D/f compared to Mclarens....thats why they were close to Mclarens here
