I'd argue that more sparks means more friction and kinetic energy which turned into those sparks; but I can see where you're coming from. Speaking of Flavio... I can't stop laughing at the way he reacted to being driven around Monaco by James Mayringo wrote:Flavio's law, more sparks = more speed.
Yeah....from the last qualifying lap.....I looked through all the Q3 sector one speed times and interesting to see that Hamilton never got past 305 the entire session while only up until the last lap when Vettel took pole did Webber and Vettel go faster than 307!MrBlacky wrote:Are those speed traps from the fastest lap?Traction wrote:

Apologies...I made the corrections....
If yes it is quite clear why Hamilton lost so much time in S1.
To me, that looks like the McLarens are set up much more for the race than the RBRs are. Lower gear ratios for higher fuel, and better performance in the aero parts. I wonder if it may backfire though – last year that's exactly what RBR did, and it didn't half go wrong.Traction wrote:Yeah....from the last qualifying lap.....I looked through all the Q3 sector one speed times and interesting to see that Hamilton never got past 305 the entire session while only up until the last lap when Vettel took pole did Webber and Vettel go faster than 307!MrBlacky wrote:Are those speed traps from the fastest lap?Traction wrote:

Alo interesting is that Perez, Alguesuari and Rosberg all clocked 319 and over with Rosberg at 321....
