Why would this be unexpected? The updates (at least some of them aero-wise) are sitting in the paddock waiting to be evaluated, but they aren't going to waste their time trying to do that on a soaking wet race track. i don't think that they bring a stepped nose. The stepped nose is made to build a higher chassis, but McLaren is running the old chassis and i think it is not enough time to change the chassis.otbsti wrote:Well, they have the stepped nose front wing sitting in the garage (there are pictures of it), so they have either changed the chassis and it works with either style nose, or they are doing their version of a stepped nose that doesn't require a chassis change.
