Also mclaren haven't been on pole for ages now either. I don't have any data as evidence, but I've been watching F1 for 10 years now to know who has the best car and mclaren don't have the best car, it's just a gut feeling. Don't get me wrong I very much want to be proven wrong!beelsebob wrote:Okay, and what evidnce do you have that the gap is greater than 2 tenths, or for what size it is?CjC wrote:The past 2 races? The comments the drivers say after the races. It's clear mclaren don't have the rear grip of the others.
Valencia is a special case, as it had extreme high temperatures and a track layout that the RedBull loved; Silverstone is a special case as it was clear that McLaren had their setup designed for full wet (evidenced by Hamilton trouncing everyone in Q2), while everyone else went for mid-wet to dry setup...
I too have read all the ins and outs and the excuses about the last 2 races but red bull was the fastest team in both.
I'm just a pessimist about our chances and I'm bloody disappointed with the season so far
