In other news..

#f1 Alonso has told Spanish media that he had a puncture on final lap in FP2.
McNish reckons Lewis and his engineers have started working well with each other, to the extent where they had similar problems in Hungary and Silverstone practices which they fixed in time for Qualifying.Mika1 wrote:Hamilton has setup problems, another friday night, another all-nighter.
Malaysia was definitely wet for Q3.ExplodeTheApex wrote:To be honest, qualifying looks wet, and so possibly the race, and we haven't really had a Q3 in the wet (Australia was done the morning after, Malaysia was more or less dry, Monaco was slicks, and so I believe was Canada), so I would be interested to see who is fastest if we have those conditions. That also creates a dilemma as to run either a high downforce set-up for the wet and grab pole and run away in the early laps of the race, or stick it out on the mid-high downforce set-up, hope for a drier Sunday, and blast past the others. As I was saying, Saturday looks on the knife edge of either bone dry or heavy rain (showers?), but Sunday still pretty undecided as of yet. We should know by this time tomorrow though...

Looking at the time between the two drivers i´d say they learned nothing really.
The rest ran with more fuel, Mercedes in particular.

James Allen stated Mercedes ran heavy on his site today. He seems to think they'll be in the mix. He said Red Bull looked good on long runs and on a single lap.Consider&Go wrote:Source?SectorOne wrote:I think it was quite obvious Red Bull were running on fumes. Uh oh...Just been told that several other tyres that were close to failure due to ‘signs of damage’, All Right Rear’s.
No such problems on any of the GP2 & GP3 cars.
I can't find that quote. Did you just quote a random user from F1Fanatic?Shrieker wrote:From F1 Fanatic:Uh oh...Just been told that several other tyres that were close to failure due to ‘signs of damage’, All Right Rear’s.
