speedtrap is just on the exit of eau rouge, and Hamilton's car is geared up long for 7th gear, he went on the speed trap on 6th gear.

Ι wonder why the speed trap is there... ?

In other news..

James Allen @Jamesallenonf1

uhhooh, so hopefully it is raing hard on sunday. to have the race behind the SC! and hopefully RedBull rear wing set up will be punished by the rain. Otherwise, VET...WEB.......and then the rest in the race.
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

To be honest, qualifying looks wet, and so possibly the race, and we haven't really had a Q3 in the wet (Australia was done the morning after, Malaysia was more or less dry, Monaco was slicks, and so I believe was Canada), so I would be interested to see who is fastest if we have those conditions. That also creates a dilemma as to run either a high downforce set-up for the wet and grab pole and run away in the early laps of the race, or stick it out on the mid-high downforce set-up, hope for a drier Sunday, and blast past the others. As I was saying, Saturday looks on the knife edge of either bone dry or heavy rain (showers?), but Sunday still pretty undecided as of yet. We should know by this time tomorrow though...

McNish reckons Lewis and his engineers have started working well with each other, to the extent where they had similar problems in Hungary and Silverstone practices which they fixed in time for Qualifying.

I hope he is right, because the Red Bull's looked like monsters in one lap pace when I flicked on FP2 earlier.

Malaysia was definitely wet for Q3.

I think it was quite obvious Red Bull were running on fumes. Perhaps trying to really understand which package is quickest.
Looking at the time between the two drivers i´d say they learned nothing really.

The rest ran with more fuel, Mercedes in particular.

8 tenths clear of anyone is the source.
You are not going to find 8 tenths with a new nose while both drivers run two different aero packages.

Wait until Qualifying, see if they are 8 tenths clear of anyone, then flame me.

James Allen stated Mercedes ran heavy on his site today. He seems to think they'll be in the mix. He said Red Bull looked good on long runs and on a single lap.

From F1 Fanatic:
Just been told that several other tyres that were close to failure due to ‘signs of damage’, All Right Rear’s.

No such problems on any of the GP2 & GP3 cars.

Have they got any harder compounds to bring?? If not it could get juicy with drivers not wanting to race. They'll probably be forced stops every 7 laps otherwise.

Hope it was debris :)

I can't find that quote. Did you just quote a random user from F1Fanatic?
