Tomorrow is going to be very interesting, there will be rain but it won't be as bad as today, meaning no inters but still a greasy track, although not as bad as Brazil of last year.

Best qualifying of the year.

I have to say though even as a Lewis fan, that Pole should have gone to Rosberg. When others were 1.5-2 seconds of Di Resta's time. Rosberg was little over .5. It was all about timing and luck today, and Lewis and the Bull got the good side of it.

Roll on the race.

Quality Qualy we've got today :D !
Hamilton again , with a bit of a 2011 remake but this time it was Hamilton who snatched pole from Vettel's Hands
Nice shot by Mercedes and Red Bull , and bad day for Ferrari and Lotus
I feel sad for Paul , reminded me of 2009
All in all tomorrow will be an interesting race and i'm really curious to see how RB will do in the Rain with their Low DF rear wing :D

Kudos To VDG and the two Marussias (y) and Thumbs down to both of the STR ..

Problems with? That's what F1 fans do, when their fav driver is on pole.

What a quali, can't wait for tomorrow.

Haha, that was a pretty good qualifying.
I feel Diresta would never have had pole. Even if he stayed out on the track he would still have to compete with redbull in the dry.
As for Rosberg, he was just benefitting from being in sync with the sweet conditions on track. He opted to let a few cars past to be the last man over and getting good conditions, but he did it too early, and while benefitting deprived himself of another run because the flag dropped.
So all in all, i think the results are what they would have been, only that rosberg may have been up one or 2 places.
For Sure!!

Great entertainment from qualifying in Spa today. This track must never be allowed to go off the list.

I've never seen such a quali session. With 2:40 to go the track -to me- looked like it was in no mood to dry up even the tiniest bit. I was shocked to see the times tumble from there on. And an unexpected duel with an unexpected winner. What a session that was...

That's VERY far-fetched whether you mean dry qualy or similar rainy conditions for everyone. All you need to check is results after first run. As if the rain itself wasn't random enough (it hurt Lotus/Ferrari helped Merc/RB), only three drivers could compete for the pole.

Dry GP2 race

It's clear lotus and mercs are on wet/mixed conditions df level, while red bull is on low/dry df.

Interestingly, Hamilton had a poor first sector on his final lap and I think may have even not bettered his last sector.

If you put together his best 3 sectors in Q3 he comes out 1 second quicker than Vettel, after being 1.2 seconds quicker in sector 2. Even more impressive from Merc is that Rosberg was much quicker than Hamilton in sector 1 and 3 and if you put together the combined best sectors of Rosberg with Hamilton then Merc were potentially 2 seconds quicker than Red Bull. If it is the same conditions tomorrow Hamilton could very easily pull out a lead quickly.

I think so. Not quite sure what Lotus are doing though, but I just don't think they have the downforce. If it's dry Vettel should be off.

The problem is you can not put together Rosberg's and Lewis's sectors at Spa. In this particular circuit, it would be like combining high downforce and high top speed setups.

In practice Vettel was much faster than Webber in S1 and S3 but 8 tenths slower in S2. Obviously the favorable pick and choose of these sectors is also not possible.
