Red Bull RB10 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Doesnt look like an s-duct, it looks like the nose is connected via the splitnose to one of those that mclaren used before.

Looks like they use hot air from the radiator to "blow" the diffuser.
Or they shaped the 8th gear like a fan so it's sucking the car into the ground.

Is it just me or does the engine lump look bigger than other engines

Do you perhaps think that the tip of the nose is one of those turning camera's they tested last year?

its not just you. Look at the "b teams" for comparison too. RB10 hides it better, because of better design. Compare the sauber and FI to the STR.
engine hump is very visible on STR though because of sloped down sidepods.

then the issue is even more evident.

so much 'nothingness' under the rear wing where other teams put aero stuff en masse.

What I meant is - it looks like the Red Bull has a fatter coke bottle, whether due to engine packaging requirements or otherwise.

It would have looked awesome without the mandatory chin... Why, FIA, why?
