Red Bull RB10 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I thought you had to pass to pass to take part in FP?
Teams try some weird set ups in FP though, aero rakes, nose pods and such. Makes sense to me though that teams will use the FIA rig during the initial build and set up.

I'm not a mod, it's not for me to judge, but the general statement is: if it's not in the car it doesn't belong in this thread. Merc & ferrari are not on this car so... your idea belongs in the car comparison thread.

And is that a much higher nose than before? Also camera no longer under Casio sticker?
That almost looks to high to be legal, and the crash structures looks to thin as well.
This is not a legal nose solution. it's too high and doesn't the surface area regs.

Height is difficult to assess without a front wing and mounted at an angle on the trolley, however it almost definitely meets surface area regs.

Really guys? This is F1 tech website.....

That car has not been fitted with its lower crash structure/nose and the wing. The "black box" sits under and in front of the yellow cone.

Next you'll be wondering why the wheels arent touching the ground and if the black box on the top of the tub are latest upgrades.

Cant believe that 4 of you have posted and re posted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Without the front wing, there is no downforce to keep the wheels on the ground. duh...

Jezus, it is the current nose, in fact the pre-saison testing one. Therefor no camera hole, (fragile) front wing not mounted.
