Canada is not a Rosberg track, it's a Hamilton track. I expect Hamilton to be in a league of his own around there.Töm87 wrote:Monaco, Canada, Austria are cominh up.ringo wrote:Rosberg looking destroyed psychologically. He doesn't know what else he can do to beat Hamilton.
All slow corner / stop and go tracks = Rosberg country
So in order to have any kind of top speed with the renault PU you have to shed off so much drag and downforce you're running 3 seconds off the pace. It was crap and it still is crap. red bull is the only representative car with renault engine, and it clearly shows how bad it is.Sevach wrote:I can barely believe the STR straight line speed, they put nearly 10 Kmh over the other Renault runners and even more over the draggy Red Bulls, their drag must be ridiculously low.Shrieker wrote:You need to have a look at the toro rosso's on that table. The engine's not that crap then, eh ?Juzh wrote:slipstream.
I don't give 2 sh1ts about the reasons it's so much slower or your supposed logic behind it. I was saying the same thing for years now, not just this year. Fact is they're slow as f##k and that's it. If not for blown/double diffusers and other stuff, then they should give them something else.iotar__ wrote:I thought there was a separate thread for whining about it? Tyres, blown diffuser, first season of big changes, heavier cars, f-duct(?Barcelona?) and it's not that surprising. Obligatory reasons: 1. Favourite driver is not doing well and/or 2. Rose-tinted nostalgia glasses. Yes 2010 was a classic season of Bahrain like one stoppers. Also obligatory: it's only fast cars racing for money and entertainment.Juzh wrote:2010 pole: 1:19.995

Well done formula 1.
You have it the other way round my friend...Töm87 wrote:Monaco, Canada, Austria are cominh up.ringo wrote:Rosberg looking destroyed psychologically. He doesn't know what else he can do to beat Hamilton.

15/16, just like the races (I believe it was the British GP, right?)De Jokke wrote:well that's 5/5, nice!
Does anyone know what mclaren-honda achieved in 1988 with qualifying?
I believe he meant qualifying, and if I'm correct they had 13/16 poles that year.mikeerfol wrote:15/16, just like the races (I believe it was the British GP, right?)De Jokke wrote:well that's 5/5, nice!

Correct man, just skipped through a season review of '88.mikeerfol wrote:15/16, just like the races (I believe it was the British GP, right?)De Jokke wrote:well that's 5/5, nice!

Those 10km/h over the other Renault runners it`s STR`s strategy with a low down-force setup rather than a draggy RB10, don`t you think mate?Juzh wrote:Sevach wrote:I can barely believe the STR straight line speed, they put nearly 10 Kmh over the other Renault runners and even more over the draggy Red Bulls, their drag must be ridiculously low.Shrieker wrote:

I think it would be more like:gray41 wrote:So will Mercedes split the drivers strategies maybe:
Lewis: M/M/H Or M/M/M/H
Nico: M/H/M Or M/M/H
Just to mix things up, because one driver is always going to be a step behind if they take the same, the lead car will always get priority with the first stops if they are running close together and I doubt we're going to see a challenge from behind?
