Vettel's time would have been 1.30.3 /1.30.4 without the mistake at the end of the first flying lap. His final sector was 25.8 compared to his previous best of 24.785.
Ferrari is usually a bit more competitive in the race compared to quali, so they should be able to fight the RBRs tomorrow. Of course Vettel has to clear a bunch of cars first and Silverstone is not the easiest place to do so....
This track exposes their deficiency on the aero/chassis side, they have work to do.
