Cry me a river.....

This is how the sport has always been, if you don't like it find something else to watch.
I won't keep going but come on...don't sell yourself or the sport so short. Dumbing it down to that kinda conclusion shows how apathetic and cheaply bought many have become with this sport.
No, it's a matter of perspective. I'm in a happy F1 bubble, and see the glass as partially full, no matter how empty it appears to others. There are many positives to following the sport, no matter how dominant a team is; a situation which is actually more common than not. Comments like yours just focus on the negativity. What's the point of that? This should be a safe place where positivity for the sport is reiforced, not compromised.

Tommy Cookers wrote:I believe the Channel 4 commentator (James Allen ??) said the cars experienced a compression followed by a lift (significant to oil system)
he said this lift was minus 3g

I wonder what he even thought he meant by this
maybe that the car was driven so that lateral acceleration suddenly fell from around 4g to around 1g
Its the vertical acceleration coming from the dip.

Have they found the trick to level the cars, unnecessary high tyre pressure especially under such hot conditions?

Great strategy by Ferraris through to Q3 and softs for the race, RB has to think for getting Max ahead of Ferraris, plus Force India looking way ahead of Williams here.

So split strategy for Red Bull, but i can not understand why.

Great laps by Verstappen, Wherlein and Raikonnen.
Spa is such a lovely track to watch a F1 car in "anger"

It's going to be a fun few first laps, Rosberg on soft and the 3 guys behind him on super soft.

Possible some flying carbon bits?

Rosberg's strategy might be useless after all if it rains tomorrow - and looks like there is a good chance to be so.

How so ? I read that it was going to be hot and sunny, with little to no chance of rain.

I honestly thought the long lap and fast corners here would mean Ferrari would be further from the pace than ever this weekend, so pleasantly surprised to see Kimi less than two tenths back over such a long distance.

As long suspected I think it's fair to say that higher temperatures help Ferrari/hinder others. Rosberg may have had a bit more in the bag but if so he played a risky game given the gaps - judging from P3 it may be more that Mercedes aren't set up for the SS so he couldn't gain much on that tyre.

Interesting to see strategies play out tomorrow. Ferrari only have one set of mediums so suspect they may be forced to go a different way from the others - one stop very unlikely, after last year and with these temps.

They went out on the SS at the end of Q2 ready to react to other teams who might push them out, as soon as they were safe they backed off and came into the pits. They start on softs tomorrow.
