For sure, A Ferrari on a 7 lap younger tires couldn't make anything happen on a Mercedes running with a massive flat spot.

Well done to Valteri, he drove a perfect race. Seb was never going to get past unless he forced Valteri into an error or took a desperate lung down the inside somewhere. Sotchi is not a track that encourages lots of passes.

Kimi drove well and during the commentary Sky Sports said Mercedes had found a problem with Lewis's floor and tried to correct it overnight.

They have some things to look at. That car was definitely not OK (engine cutting out and overheating)

On the other hand it is quite sobering to see that a Merc running in conservation mode still pulls a gap of 25 seconds to the nearest RB and 50 seconds to Williams. It will take a while until we see some sort of parity beween the teams.

Well deserved win by bottas, try to pass him here is very difficult. Glass half empty? Ferrari couldn't capitalize first row. Glass half full? Vettel scored more points than Hamilton.

Yes, He should have said " based on previous laps the there is a high statistical probability that Bottas might make another mistake under increased pressure, since his earlier mistake too place without much pressure"

But that radio message would be too long in a race situation.
