Ah, the old lay-out in that first picture. Beautiful! Those last two corners were magnificent. Why did they ever bother to change that lay out? Because of safety reasons?

That bird's eye photo is just wrong. The chicane should be there but it is not.

When I was there in 96, the seats between turn 8 to 9 didn't exist, those old days sitting on the grass, if any depending how warm April and winter has been in Spain.

Prediction
Pole Time: A low 1m20.xxx
Pole Sitter: Sebastian Vettel.

They have been ominous in Winter Testing and Ferrari should be disappointed if they don't get a pole here. Unless, Mercedes have sorted out their balance issues that troubled them so much in Winter Testing.

I am hoping for a surprise pole from RB, with their HEAVILY revised RB13. Is there a news on Renault's MGU fix?

 With this prediction from GPR-A we might be in for some nasty weather!
BTW Ferrari better get Pole otherwise GPR-A will never let me hear the end
Also happy to see you starting to lean over to our side... :D

Considering the tire allocation, I think the starting grid will be Merc 1-2, Ferrari 3-4, RBR 5-6. For the race its all going to come down to who is leading after lap 1.

And I also thought this would be the first season in a while without hearing the word ominous but you just spoiled it for me.

A prediction: For the first time we will see cars choosing to pit because they cannot get close enough to the car they are supposed to lap. In some conditions, people will lose pace to the extent that they will be unable to get within 1 second of the car they are trying to lap, and thus they'll get no blue flags.
And I think this (having to choose pitting to get out of lapped traffic) will happen more than once.
IMHO ;-)

It's going to be interesting to see new parts on cars. I don't expect a lot from Ferrari because they already brought a new front wing, floor, monkey seat and some fins here and there, but I am very curious about RB, Mercedes and Force India!

I am sure they solve 2017 MGU-K problem
I noticed that Redbull drivers and palmer have used 2nd ICE+TC+MGU-H but Nobody has use new MGU-K.
I think they will use 2017 MGU-K in spain gp

One of the most boring races of the season. Anyway, it will be interesting to see if Ferrari can be as dominant as they were in winter. RB will bring an almost new car, that should be good to see too.

Under normal circunstances the winner should be the one who is first after the first corner.
