And here come the pointless discussions about "deserving" the win which cannot be properly argued for/against because they're completely subjective mostly influenced by one's preferred driver.

Great teamwork by Mercedes, the time Vettel lost behind Bottas might have been important for Lewis' victory, although Lauda just said it wasn't key but admitted that the slowed down Bottas on purpose.

Mercedes seems to be able to follow better in dirty air.

I wonder if the difference in pace between Lewis and Valtteri was down to the engine (turned down to get through the race, which unfortunately did not work).

I don't think we should overdramatize the difference in power between Ferrari and Mercedes since Alonso flew past Stroll in a similar manner.

Shame about Kimi/Verstappen ... might have been spicier with them in the mix.

Mercedes made Ferrari look naive today.

mass offered free lunch of points to few guys today. only he and alonso lost places everyone else gained positions...Honda looks quite thirsty and that may explain lack of race pace.

That word should be banned from this forum. It leads to nothing but pointless discussion.

You win or you don't win. There is no "deserved".

They did.
'We are going to pit' we are going to pit' (paraphrasing). Ferrari are forced to pit in response. 'Keep on going Lewis, snigger'.

What was funniest is that Mercedes did a dummy during the VSC and then actually did it. I imagine Ferrari where sat in their pits saying 'Who,what?'.

Ferrari need to stop listening to Mercedes pit wall, they got bluffed into making an early pit stop then they had their glass against the wall listening out for another call pitting under the VSC. Mercedes released this and boxed as soon as Seb passed the pit lane, great job from the Mercedes pit wall today.

One criticism about the transmission, the radio was so Hamilton focused, we heard him almost every lap, and very little Vettel.
I'd like to hear more what Ferrari was thinking.

Great race and enthralling strategy battle between Mercedes and Ferrari. I had my doubts that it would be as exciting as it turned out to be, Catalunya doesn't always provide such a good race. Still impossible to split between Ferrari and Mercedes as far as any outright favourites, every race seems to throw any predictions out of the window. Long may it continue!

Oh I don't know the best and most honest comment came from Vettel.
Ferrari told him that Hamilton was complaining of overheating rears. His response 'He could have said that a couple of laps ago'  .

Sky commentators pushing hard to make Lewis lead driver for the rest of the season in the post race chat. At the moment it is not necessary as Bottas is a definite team player.

That was annoying really. Hearing Hamilton was good, but so little on Vettel? Whoever was moderating on FIA, need to be better at it.

Pass of the day goes to Vettel! He was so so aggressive on Bottas. Sold a bit of dummy, but a desperately needed move.

Almost as desperate as Sainz on Mag. Vettel made it stick though
