Scuderia Ferrari SF70H

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Floor and diffuser modifications were only available to Sebastian in both USA and Mexico.

New FW for both.

That explains the gap between the two.
I doubt these new parts represent this big of a gap.
Kimi had issues in Q3, none of the tyre sensors were working so he couldn't get the tyres in the right temperature. He is usually 2 tenths slower than Vettel, tyre were not in the right temperature and old floor and diffuser, not to mention Seb is also running a revised front suspension, and I guess that explains the huge gap.

Vettel ditched the new front suspension for the time being.

Also i'm not as sympathetic as you about Kimi's efforts, but that's for a different thread.

Once again it has been necessary to remove off topic posts. The mentality of Vettel and Hamilton has noting to do with the car. Please restrict your comments to technical matters actually pertaining to the car.

Could the numbered points on the underside of the wing be pressure tap points for checking the aero?
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

This greatly interests me too !
Why would point 2 have "5X" under it ?

Hopefully one of the experts here has an answer

Probably is "Sx", an abbreviation for Sinistra (Left), Destra (Right) is "Dx".

Also worth noting, that they had made this change to diffuser only on right side. left is still old style one: probably testing prototype for 2018 right there
