Because when you set up a car at the track you don't have unlimited adjustability. at some point a design change is required, and that change might help one driver while hindering the other.
From Mark Hughes:
Where did you read that? I never said that...Just_a_fan wrote: ↑10 Oct 2018, 21:44The cars aren't built to a specific driver. The suspension can be tuned as can downforce balance but that's it really. Bottas's car coupd be set up for him just Hamilton's cam be for him.
Likely is that Hamilton has just learnt to look after his tyres. Part of being a top driver is being able to adjust to changes whilst maintaining pace.
Of course. However, there isn't much reason not to let Bottas run the older parts that, apparently, worked better for him.
Yes, but now you are getting into the issue of old parts not being optimized to work with the new ones, and you get a knock on effect the more out of sync you are with the latest round of parts.wesley123 wrote: ↑11 Oct 2018, 08:51Of course. So just before the 130r this is what it looked like:dans79 wrote: ↑10 Oct 2018, 14:42There is a huge difference between posting screenshots of the timing pages which match the official timing reports versus the "real time" map that is often wrong and glitchy as hell.siskue2005 wrote: ↑10 Oct 2018, 14:35the app is great, Juzh posts telemetry from it. check italian gp thread for videos of the app
