Mercedes-AMG F1 W10 EQ Power+

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter does not belong here.

Do we see here a more tight-fitted engine cover / sidepods?
It sure looks like it. It should help reduce drag and probably increase downforce at the rear.

Yep, it looks evident in this photo as well:

Guess it makes sense they're looking to reduce drag at this track because it looks like they already got the downforce bit covered.

It looks like you can see the curvatures of the coolers and the exhaust under the shell.
That was all part of the Barcelona GP update.

This area, in particular, looks to have become even tighter. Stood out immediately to me in both photos.

zibby do you mean in Barcelona or for Canada, because I'm pretty sure it hasn't changed since Barcelona?

Look at the top of the outermost edge of the side pods. it protrudes outward with a bump.

Compared to this from Spain and Monaco.

You're going to need to draw it for because they look exactly the same.

It looks like their are more changes further back as well, but not as pronounced as at the front of the sidepods. The sharks fin also has a new bulge on it.
