From AMuS regarding Mercedes' upgrades:

Mercedes has brought only minor modifications to Silverstone. This will be upgraded in Hockenheim again. It's a big upgrade. "This will be obvious to everyone," says an engineer.

Engine Cover for Austrian GP:

Note the contour of the engine cover and the twin blisters by the "44".

Note the contour of the engine cover and the blister closest to the "44" is less pronounced or even missing.

A different T-wing is also visible. I think it was used in pre-season testing or last year?

Maybe the 'blister' is missing because it's the other side of the car?

Those blisters are the mounting points which are FIA regulated so even though they can narrow the body work down around it, the mounting points are fixed in “space”

I think one pair 'may' be due to the mounting points, but at least one pair is present because of the small radiator.

Looking at that picture again and comparing with the following:

The standard mounting points aren't the cause of those blisters, they are purely for the small cooling radiators and more specifically to also accommodate the pipework to those rads.

Thanks. But I think you’ll find those connections are much further forward, 480mm behind the survival cell bulkhead.
