Haha! I love these shots that give us at least a tiny glimpse of Merc's packaging.

Given the time difference it's not unusual to have no photos by the time.

For the sake of argument, it's not cooling, it's heat dissipation. :D

Yep, engine cover bodywork is definitely flared at the back. The rest of the field have a similar approach.

An encouraging sign is that the cooling configuration by the halo/cockpit area is not Merc's most aggressive setup (that one involves a vast relief cut behind the halo and perpendicular to the adjustable vents). It's just the adjustable events, no gigantic cockpit opening (which was used in Austria).

Hi! I may wrong here but need some clarification.

For example in 2018 Italy GP, Hamilton Q3 laptime was better than this year and Ferrari keeps almost same Q3 time.

It seems Mercedes not running their engine in full power due to cooling issue? is that possible? Once they fixed the cooling issue next year, can they beat Ferrari in Quali?

Sorry If I asked stupid question.

Good point, in fact the heat dissipation delta window is definitely open wider! :)

Yes true, I'm thinking they've quite likely solved it, to a reasonable level

But Austria was the hottest race this year with air temp 35C and track temp around 50 while in Mexico we expect around 15 C air temps.

France was just as hot, Merc was fine there, the altitude was a bigger problem and it will be 3x as high in Mexico.
