It is a beautiful looking car indeed but funny how the brain works I am already think I like the renders of the 2021 cars better than the current one with all the 'furniture' sticking out in the bargeboard area. Plus the cars right now look way too long IMHO.
Cheers, doesn't look all that impressive to say Bottas had a new engine.
Since the team knew well before the weekend that Bottas was going to start at the back, his car was most likely set up differently because he was going to spend a lot more of the race in dirty air. Bottas would most likely have altered his driving style to preserve his tires as well. Both reasons would mask any PU advantage he had.
Well....actually....when starting at the back, in a front running car, the common practice is to slightly reduce wing levels. As I’m sure you probably already figured out, this is to help on the straight bits, as they’re the only passing zones. The big 3 also have such an advantage over the other teams, that, even with reduced wing angles, they’ll still have a fairly significant downforce advantage over all the other teams’ cars.
