Russell with a Williams, ahead of Albon in a Red Bull.. Which parallel universe is this

Btw, everyone's hyped about Russell, but the revelation of the season so far has been Norris imo. He beat Sainz again who is Ferrari bound and is up 2-1 against him.
Regardless of how you look at it, Russell is standing 24-0 in qualifying so far against his team mates. Between Norris and Sainz, it's at 13-11 currently. Russell in that McLaren could definitely be a better bet for qualifying than Sainz.

As exciting for me as watching the MP4/4 in 1988
MP4/4 raced against hobbled FW11B with Judd engine instead of Honda. :x

Competition is relative!

Mercedes team were not strong during Red Bull dominated V8 era, results may have been quite different if the Mercedes team was operating as well then as they do now. :D

I don’t think this helps.

Alexander Albon is “being made to look like an idiot” at Red Bull, according to rival and close friend George Williams.

I must have missed that one who is he?
Redbull is a marketing operation so they invest and "arrange" everything to create a legendary persona who can market their products. They are not good for F1 as a sport... as a spectacle, maybe...

I am surprised Bottas was close to Ham frankly. I was expecting a bigger delta.

Overall Mercedes engined cars looked very strong. I think first 3 races were the weakest for Merc and it looks like they are going to win all three, if they don't collide to each other... I think Merc may win all races this year.

That's why I don't think Vettel will go there, he does not fit the image. (despite what George Williams says  before everyone thinks I am a nutter, they have corrected it to Russell now. )

When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

I'm finding it quite amusing how the stroll critics are missing except for trying to rationalize how perez in race trim is going to be faster. Should be interesting race tomorrow between stroll and perez. Sometimes i think people forget stroll is only 21 and does not have the experience of perez. Enjoy.

I think both of them are average as F1 drivers go. ;P

Esteban Ocon is in my opinion in the same bracket as Verstappen, Leclerc, Albon, Norris, Sainz and Russell but at this point in time, I don't see Ocon getting the seat ahead of Russell. It's also amazing how poor Renault has been since they came back to the sport. So many top drivers have come and gone. Wonder when the clock will run out on Abitirritable.

Crushing pressure from (team) Max. KVY, RIC, GAS and now ALB had paid the price.

They could still do Japan couldn’t they? Or have they definitely ruled it out?
It’s cancelled for ‘20
Ah. That is a great shame. I was hoping they might pick up some of the Asia leg later in the year. Only plus is it means not having to get up at 6am for qualifying and race!

All this talk of Hamilton's lap. I think he could have gone faster still. Wasn't he down on his previous S1 time? Had Bottas taken pole, this would have been highlighted by his critics no end. It's unbelievable how fickle F1 fans are.
People are all over Albon at the moment when the guy who is sat on pole cost him a win in the first race.

Norris is lucky so far. He is quicker than Sainz of course.. ever since his rookie year.. but I think he has been very lucky in the races this year. Less race pace than Sainz, but has ended in front due to circumstances.

That’s me (waking up at 6am) for almost every race of the season :(

There has been only 2 races so far and he showed good race craft in both, no idea what your point is?

Norris is fast and a good match for Sainz and his race craft is improving, we seem to forget he is not only very young, but in just his second season in F1 and pulling stuff that some veterans can’t

Thanks, lol... It does suck, but there is no way I can enjoy a race after it has ended, even when I may stay away from the net/media to not spoil the result... Especially hard after too much bourbon the night before :)
