That's because racing hard for 70 laps is hard work. People forget, I think, that these machines are still hugely physical to drive wheel to wheel.
I was just making a statement. 8-[
Sorry, I wasn't having a go at you, although it can be read that way.

I meant people in general. We often hear people bemoaning that the cars are easy to drive, that it's easy in a fast car, etc. It isn't easy at all.
Funny, now you think cars are harder to drive, while 2 weeks ago you and some other people were taking the crash very lightly, making fun of '51g' because nothing happened. I'm not surprised though, you lot have always been like this.

Hamilton not looking right. I don't think it's exhaustion either. Like an anxiety attack probably from the booing. It's hard to face that from that many people. It's probably bringing up feelings he had when he was younger and people were happy he didn't win. Those types of things at a young age gives you triggers. I don't think it's inherently racists just Verstappen fans that want Hamilton to lose though. That looked like a flat out anxiety attack on the podium
Unless you're a registered psychologist please refrain from making this baseless claims that only fuel the social media frenzy. These type of unfounded and toxic comments are what is destroying society these days

Hamilton turning the tables on Verstappen the way he did with Vettel 3 years ago.
Yes turning the cars upside down either himself or using servant bottas.

AMAZING race!!!

Two more laps and that would have been Hamilton’s. Alonso deserves almost as much credit as Ocon there.

It’s always beautiful to have a first time winner. The podium will be fun!
Alonso was more than a pitstop ahead of Hammi. If he would have pitted then, we would have had 2 Alpines on the podium.
Hindsight is always 20/20.

How? Vettel crashed on his own, here Mercedes is doing the crashing.

The guy's absolutely physically knackered. He's just driven the wheels off that car to get on the podium.

Anxiety attacks from booing. Really.

Alonso might have misjudged his car positioning by an inch, whilst in dirty air from Sainz on tyres whose performance changed corner by corner. It's just one of those things that happen if the racing is really close.
I think he knew exactly where it was to the inch, that's why they both survived

Some people like to support winners, some others like to support the underdogs.
Are you implying Mercedes-Benz fans are not from the BAR days!? What else is a BAR-Supertec driven by Villeneuve if not an underdog? :)
I'm implying many fans support them because they are dominant. They're like the Golden State Warriors.
Hey, Tyrrell with Mika Salo and Jos Verstappen 💪🥳

If not for Alonso's staunch (and illegal at the end there) defense, Ocon wouldn't have won. He played the perfect rear gunner.

Gutted for Hamilton, but I suspect he would've snatched +14 points with his eyes closed against Max, had he been offered it at the start of the day. He really needed 2 or 3 laps tops to win there in the end.
Defending against Lewis is illegal now?
No, but making sudden moves under braking is, and Alonso definitely was heading into a grey area on that.
The driver behind has the better look at the situation. The corner itself is extremely hard to be used for overtaking, so it is not wise to force yourself in there next to another car. In this case i do not see how was Alonso supposed to look at him and still make a corner. In that case it would be better just to ease off the gas pedal and let him trough even before the corner.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

Despite having a car that was a country mile ahead and his wingman having removed the competitors, finishing 3rd is like losing.
I'm sure Verstappen is celebrating even as you typed this...
A point is a point, and Verstappen is no quitter. While not a reason to celebrate, it is motivation to come back stronger. Be careful what you wish for, the best celebration is the one at the end of the season.

Seems like Bottas had a deal to save his place at the team and I won't be surprised if he stays back now. This is the closet a driver can come to Nelson Piquet performance of 2008. :)

Agreed, dumb comment

HAM said already on Fri he lost something like 2-3kg in fluid; I suspect he just needs to rehydrate.
