Not being funny but reversing in a live pit lane is generally frowned upon.
Absolutely. I meant he shouldn’t have been instructed to even take his place in the pit lane queue; he can go to the garage directly, no?
But at some point he would need to reverse though because the cars go in backwards.
Forward in, stick the dollies underneath then pull her back out and swing her round.
Team ANTI-HYPE. Prove it, then I’ll anoint you.

Max actually had already pitted and went from 8 down to 15 before the red flag came out. There wasn’t much to repair tough. Rip the remaining parts of. Sorry
I am guessing he's talking about Perez's PU may be done after the incident and thus possibly taking 10+ grid penalty when he take the 4th PU while bottas is getting just 5 place grid drop?

I do wonder if the championship winning team is running towards the cost cap and what if the other teams starts to run more risky move because nothing to lose... would we run into a situation where the championship winning team can no longer use new parts in the last few races and end up losing?
According to one of the Dutch F1 sites (not the most reputable one), Horner mentioned Max' PU may be damaged as well. So, potential PU penalty for both cars, in Max' case, two races in a row due to similar reasons. Which is rather unfortunate, if it materializes that way.
No, they didn't translate Horner's interview correctly. Engine of max is fine.

I think they must have known RE:Vettel’s car, but what do you do? Just slow down or give up in the hope of retaining enough and lose all the points there and then, or finish, get the points and take your chances? They made the right choice at the end, but you could argue it hey should have began fuel management much earlier in the race unless a sensor or readout was faulty.

That’s fair enough but I can’t see the FIA just watching that kind of sh—housing and not stepping in.

So now deeply recheck Ocons car 😝

Btw loved how Alonso permanently cutted the chicane on the exit. I know it's allowed but not all drivers are doing it...

Oh absolutely! It's just the skill of Hamilton and the worthlessness of Verstappen as to why he leads. Personally speaking, it's a miracle Hamilton is beating Norris in the Mercedes let alone two red bulls.

It's like Jesus 2021 in a formula 1 car!
What? You don't think that not having crashes here, Silverstone and Baku would've helped? Or that being out strategised in Spain, or a small mistake in Bahrain when overtaking Hamilton didn't cost them points? Just those last two would still see Verstappen in the lead. And that's not looking at qualifying or less standout issues.
Hmm, let's see-

Car in the gravel in Imola -18 points. (saved by red flag)
Put another car in the gravel (main title rival) in Silverstone and DNF -25 points (saved by red flag)
Blocked title rival yesterday and had team mate take out main title rival who would have won the race without it -13 points
Main title rival has tyre failure and loses 25 points while making a mistake yourself and losing 25 points. (Baku)

What does that total up to? =D>
"had team mate take out main title rival" Wow. You lost all credibility here.

That's hard on the driver for something that is probably not in his control. A bit like the penalties for unsafe release.

For sure. Just a wild race.

Too bad the regs change next year. This season has been an instant classic.

The team should have been aware of the fuel level and asked for some fuel saving from Seb during the race. I guess they were hoping they would pass Ocon and coast to save fuel, but the pass never came.

This guy managed to lose this race.
And what exactly did Hamilton do wrong this time? He wanted to pit for slicks, but the team told him to stay out. He was dead last and then finished third. Effing ridiculous comment.
It was a joke. Btw team couldn't tell him to stay out during formation lap, drivers had to decide themselves whether they pit or not so it's Hamilton's mistake.

In the olden watching the fuel gauge would have been in the remit of the driver

I'm really gutted for Seb. One of my favourites on the grid.

Hamilton's lucky streak continues
