Exactly. Look at it taking taking into account the whole arrangement of parts and components there.Fredy4 wrote:The more I look at that picture...
Are they even pipes or a flat surface witht the weave giving a 3D impression?
Look at it again, but with the fact its flat in your head.
Well the weave wont give you shadows on the sidesDragonfly wrote:Exactly. Look at it taking taking into account the whole arrangement of parts and components there.Fredy4 wrote:The more I look at that picture...

It's the weave which gives the impression of (ribbed) pipes while the actual surface is concave.
Sorry i didnt understand
Yup already coverd at page 80 i think. On the other picture the multi-pin connector on the lower edge of the bulkhead is for the camera IMO.
Seams odd that the top of the cover over the master cylinders has voids in it. It is not like they commonly work on anything is this area, A full cover would do a better job on hiding things. Maybe there is nothing to hide.Coefficient wrote:Well, I'm guessing that the flat carbon panel is removed when the nose is fitted then and is only in place when the team are working on the car with the nose off.
James Allen said it gives an advantage in qualifying of around 3 to 4 tenths. That is quite large.hardingfv32 wrote:Seams odd that the top of the cover over the master cylinders has voids in it. Agreed. And the performance of the car clearly indicates that it is not propelling then to the front. Maybe it is a distraction that their large engineering staff is not coping well with.bosanac1 wrote:does anyone think this seems way too complex just for small qualifying advantage and pretty useless/compromised for race?
If that is true then the W03 must be serious rubbish without such a system. It would imply that the rest of the car is just as bad as it was last year. Is that even possible?dren wrote:James Allen said it gives an advantage in qualifying of around 3 to 4 tenths. That is quite large.
The advantage of the system is probably smaller on different tracks. James Allen said the Mercedes looks good at Malaysia. The car looks to be third best, and not too far off from the front. This is much better than last year. The best finish last year was a 4th place in the rain.hardingfv32 wrote:If that is true then the W03 must be serious rubbish without such a system.
