Sebastian Vettel has won the Singaporean Grand Prix for the second time in a row, benefiting from the retirement of pole sitter Lewis Hamilton. The German was left unchallenged for the remainder of the race and is joined on the podium by Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso.
Nah, joking aside, it seems that the championship is between Alonso and Vettel. Vettel can make by his own, but i think Lewis needs Alonso to have some misfortune to take that championship. To have atleast one, more or less, scoreless weekend. However, it doesnt look likely as Alonso is quite robust and so is his car.That's the problem, because of DNFs the McLaren drivers aren't really in the title hunt now, so they'll only be taking points away from Red Bull. I disagree :] This year he is really competitive - he has outqualified Rosberg on 8 occasions out of 14 this year and if not for unreliability and shoddy pit work he would be way higher up in the standings. Also, it's not yet completely clear if he really caused the accident today, because he has told that he braked earlier than usual and the car didn't decelerate at all. He isn't. He is not happy at all at the team, and added that he has to perform every single race from now on to get the WDC, will put pressure on him. No offense; on track he is absolutely faultless this year, and I don't think we'll see a blunder from him anytime soon, but enjoying the races?? what it meant is the the winner and 2nd place has got the biggest point difference, so if any of the driver from Redbull or Mclaren doesnt win regularly, while Alonso continue to finishes in 3 ot 4th, then alonso will have a good chance of winning the championship.NathanOlder wrote:I hate it when people keep saying Red Bull and Mclaren have been taking points from each other. Red Bull have won 4 races, Mclaren 5, Ferrari 3. So Ferrari have been losing points to the others.
It is 100% reliability/Pit work this year that has been better for Ferrari. Mclaren have dipped out with bad pit work earlier in the year and now reliabily in last 2 races. Red Bull have struggled with reliability this year. \throw in Lewis at Valencia and Vettel in Malaysia both losng points through another driver driving into them, its clear to see its not down to |Red Bull & Mclaren taking points from each other.
