Vettel youngest driver to be on pole

After the Italian Grand Prix qualifying session, only one team got to celebrate and it wasn't McLaren or Ferrari but surprisingly enough the Scuderia Toro Rosso. Sebastian Vettel collected his first ever pole position, the first for the team as well, and becomes the youngest man in F1 history to be on pole.

Sebastian Vettel said: "It's just unbelievable and incredible. I was joking with my engineers that if it was wet we'd have to go for pole position. There was so much water out there you never knew what to expect especially at Ascari, just needed to be lucky not to lose the car.

"I never dreamed of being on pole and in Italy with two Italian teams, everyone knows Ferrari, but now hopefully people know the smaller Toro Rosso too.

"We had wet practice yesterday and I didn't feel very comfortable and overnight we found just the right thing. After practice this morning I felt better and very comfortable in the wet, great balance and I think in these conditions where you feel comfortable you can do really well.
