The second to last test session before the 2009 race season finally begins came to a close for the Formula One teams today. At Ferrari Kimi Raikkonen took care of the driving for the last two days, and today had the tasks of engine and gearbox reliability testing, tyre and aerodynamic evaluations, along with some setup work and pit stop practices.

Although weather conditions varied immensley throughout the day, from strong winds to rain showers, Raikkonen was able to complete 112 laps with a best overall time of 1:20.414, only second to BMW Sauber's Nick Heidfeld.

The Finn said to the press, "One of the novelties for this year, compared to last season is that I have a good feeling on the slick tyres."

The Scuderia now heads over to Barcelona before preparing for the race in Melbourne.
