Schumacher criticism is idiotic - Weber

Manager to the seven times World Champion Michael Schumacher, Willi Weber, has publicly denounced all those who blamed Schumacher for Kimi Raikkonen's tyre choice error in Malaysia. Raikkonen was sent out on extreme wets after his first pitstop with the track still dry, although rain was expected shortly.

Willi Weber told Italian newspaper 'Gazzetta dello Sport', "The criticism aimed at Schumacher is totally idiotic. The attack against Schumacher makes no sense. He knows everyone and was in Sepang just by chance. The decisions from the pit wall were taken by the team.

"Michael may give some advice to the team, but he is not the team leader nor the team manager at Ferrari."

The rumours spread rapidly as the tyre decision turned out to be so bad. It took 3 laps before any rain would fall, and even then no full wets would have been necessary. Unfortunately for the Finn, by the time the track was wet enough, his tyres were destroyed after losing 1minute in 3 laps.
