With the recent decision taken by the BMW Group to exit Formula One after the 2009 season, Peter Sauber is left with a 20% stake in the left over race team but doubt's whether they'll survive without the manufacturers backing. Sauber created the team in 1993 and raced on his won until 2005 when he sold out to the German carmaker.

"I respect and accept the decision but am still finding it hard to digest. The position we are in now makes it very difficult," Sauber admitted to German news agency 'DPA.
