After both Fernando Alonso and Ferrari had mediocre seasons in 2009, the Spaniard is hoping that his new team will give him a car to fight at the top of the field for the championship. And in an interview with Spanish paper 'AS', Alonso says that he's confident about Ferrari's position relative to the main competitors.
When asked about what he could say to motivate his fans, Alonso responded, "I ask you to be calm, because we are not going to fold for second place. I am very calm and sure that we will be very competitive with teams like Red Bull, Brawn, or McLaren, and Ferrari will be there in the fight. Now a very important challenge begins for me. [Because] in Ferrari, the biggest team, you always have to win."
