New McLaren MP4-31 photo leaked hours ahead of launch
An image of the brand new McLaren Honda MP4-31 got leaked over the internet, 4 hours ahead of the car's official online launch. The car is set to raise McLaren back to a competitive level after a troublesome first year of partnership with engine supplier Honda.
Once again, it is to be driven by Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button, the most experienced driver pairing in Formula One.
While more about the car will be revealed at the launch and in an upcoming analysis, McLaren already announced a 10-year partnership with watch maker Richard Mille, dubbing it a perfect brand match: "Founder and CEO Richard Mille continues obsessively to push the limits of haute horlogerie, his engineers creating increasingly intricate, innovative and elaborate designs."
