Albon set to race with a one-off orange-themed helmet in Miami

Williams driver Alex Albon will race with a special, orange-themed helmet at this weekend's Miami Grand Prix, with the Thai driver hoping that he and his team-mate Carlos Sainz will be able to replicate what they achieved last time out in Saudi Arabia.
On the back of a weekend in Jeddah where Williams scored points with both cars, Alexander Albon will race with a unique orange-themed lid, in honour of Florida's state fruit.
The special helmet has been designed by Miles Murphy and painted by Massimo Dante. The brightly-coloured design is intended to be a hyper-realistic interpretation of the citrus fruit, with the team sponsors and logos having been converted into fruit stickers.
With the Miami Grand Prix weekend sporting a sprint format, teams will have heavily limited practice time. However, Albon is excited to show his team's strong form after a double point-scoring race in Jeddah.
"Miami is always a unique experience. The atmosphere is incredible, and it's a race that everyone looks forward to. It’s a sprint weekend which adds another layer of complexity and challenge; with limited time to fine-tune the car, we'll need to be sharp from the first session.
"Carlos and I worked well together in Saudi Arabia and the teamwork paid off with more points on the board. We’re in a strong place, so we’ll be looking to keep up the positive energy and execute cleanly to maximise our potential this weekend."
His team-mate Carlos Sainz looked the stronger driver last time out in Jeddah, and contributed to Williams' success by helping his team-mate by providing slipstream in the closing stages of the race.
"As we head to Miami for the first US race of the calendar, it’s my first stateside race with an American owned team, so it’s sure to be a big one.
"It’s also the second Sprint weekend on the calendar, so we are looking forward to having more opportunities for point scoring, despite having less Free Practice time.
"We’ve got a strong race car and will be looking to maximise on the performance we’ve been building over the last few weekends. I’m really looking forward to the weekend! Vamos."
