Heikki confident he'll race for Renault in 2007
Heikki Kovalainen, the test driver of the Renault F1 Team, is confident that he'll be in Alonso's race seat next season. The 24-year-old Finnish talent was at the circuit of Zolder (Belgium) this weekend for the World Series by Renault.
Kovalainen said this weekend: "I made a long term commitment to Renault. I believe I have a good chance to race for Renault in 2007. Everyone knows there is at least one position available as Alonso will leave the team."
Fernando Alonso announced that he'll be leaving the team for McLaren at the end of the season.
