Racing Bulls unveil 2026 livery and welcome Arvid Lindblad at Landmark Detroit Launch

Visa Cash App Racing Bulls ushered in a new era for the team on Thursday evening, transforming Detroit’s historic Central Michigan train station into a dramatic stage for the reveal of their 2026 Formula One livery and the introduction of rookie driver Arvid Lindblad.
The event brought together VCARB, Ford Racing, and Oracle Red Bull Racing in a celebration of engineering ambition, cultural energy, and the first-ever Red Bull Ford Powertrains power unit.
Detroit native and seven‑time BET Award winner Big Sean opened the show with a bespoke 60‑second Red Bull rap created exclusively for the launch, setting the tone for a night that blended motorsport innovation with contemporary culture. He later closed the event with performances of his chart‑topping hits IDFWU and Bounce Back.
A New Look for a New EraIn front of 1,500 guests and a global livestream audience on YouTube and Red Bull TV, drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad joined CEO Peter Bayer and Team Principal Alan Permane to unveil the team’s 2026 livery.
After the overwhelmingly positive reception to last season’s design, VCARB retained its striking all‑white base. For 2026, the look is sharpened with refined blue accents that nod to the team’s deepening partnership with Ford, tracing the chassis with a more streamlined, technical aesthetic.
“This launch captures the evolution of Visa Cash App Racing Bulls as a brand and as a racing team,” Bayer said.
“From having Detroit as a backdrop representing our partnership with Ford, to the creators, fans and communities we’ve brought into this launch, everything reflects our ambition to push Formula One culture forward. We want to connect with the next generation in a way that feels authentic, bold and inclusive, and this moment marks the continuation of what we do both on and off the track.”
Arvid Lindblad Joins the GridThe evening also marked the official arrival of Arvid Lindblad, the youngest and only rookie on the 2026 Formula One grid. His rapid rise through the Red Bull Junior Programme — and his now‑famous 2021 promise to Lando Norris that he would “see him on the grid” — culminated in a milestone moment under the lights in Detroit.
“This moment is honestly surreal,” Lindblad said. “To be introduced as a Formula One driver at an event like this, in such an iconic setting, is something I’ll never forget. The team’s vision, the new power unit, and the belief they’ve shown in me mean a lot. I’m ready to learn, to work, and to give everything on track as we start this new chapter together.”
Liam Lawson echoed the sense of momentum surrounding the team. “Launching the 2026 livery here in Detroit makes the moment feel even more special,” he said.
“The history of innovation in this place really reflects what this team is building for the future. The partnership between Ford and Red Bull, the energy around the team, and the ambition for what’s ahead make this an incredibly exciting time to be part of VCARB. I’m more motivated than ever to push forward and help turn that vision into results on track.”
Ford Partnership and New Technical AmbitionsThe 2026 season marks one of Formula One’s most significant technical resets, and VCARB’s partnership with Ford positions the team at the forefront of the new power unit era. The Red Bull Ford Powertrains project represents the first power unit developed by the Red Bull family, combining Ford’s 125‑year heritage with Red Bull’s relentless engineering culture.
“2026 represents one of the biggest technical resets Formula One has seen, and partnering with Ford at the very start of this journey is hugely significant for us,” Permane said.
"The Red Bull Ford Powertrains project brings together world‑class engineering, innovation and racing DNA, and it puts us in a strong position as the sport enters this new era.
"We have been working closely with the team and are proud of what the Red Bull family have developed. It’s something we’re excited to have in our race car as we hit the track in the coming weeks.”
The livery also showcased the team’s newest partner, Octave, joining as an Asset Lifecycle Management Partner. Spun out of Hexagon AB, Octave will support VCARB across strategic and operational decision‑making processes, with more details to follow.

The launch doubled as the first Creator Platform activation of 2026, continuing VCARB’s initiative to elevate emerging creative talent. Photographer Gian Icatar, whose work blends community, sport, and cultural identity, was invited to document the event. His perspective — shaped by his upbringing as the son of immigrant parents — aligns with the team’s commitment to authenticity and new voices.
Fans were also directly involved through a wristband design competition. The winning designer, Magdalena Olech from Ireland, earned a trip to Detroit to see her artwork worn by guests throughout the event.
New Threads for a New GenerationEarlier in the week, VCARB revealed its 2026 team kit and race suits, blending performance engineering with fashion‑forward design. Presented by Lawson, Lindblad, and a group of creative collaborators, the collection reflects the team’s ambition to connect with younger audiences and push the boundaries of how Formula One intersects with culture.
