Formula 1 Exhibition to Make Mexico City Debut in March 2026

Formula 1 will bring its acclaimed immersive exhibition to Mexico City for the first time, with the show set to open on 20 March 2026 at the iconic Yama Punta Museo. The Mexican capital becomes the ninth host city of the global tour and only the second Latin American venue after Buenos Aires.
The travelling exhibition has earned international praise since its 2023 premiere in Madrid, where it became Spain’s top‑selling temporary exhibition of the year. It later drew large crowds in Vienna, London, Toronto, Oberhausen, Amsterdam, and most recently Melbourne, where it made its Asia‑Pacific debut.
A natural home for Formula 1Mexico’s passion for Formula 1® has grown into a cultural phenomenon, with the Mexico City Grand Prix selling out every year since its return to the calendar. The country now boasts an estimated 48 million fans.
“Mexico City is a vibrant cultural hub with a true passion for motorsport,” said Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer at Formula 1®. “When we looked at where the exhibition should go next, Mexico was an obvious choice. The energy, the enthusiasm, the history — it all fits perfectly.”
Prazer added that the exhibition’s global momentum has exceeded expectations.
“Since the Formula 1 Exhibition’s debut in Madrid in 2023, the show has gone from strength to strength to attract over 1 million visitors. Fans want to understand the sport more deeply, and this exhibition gives them that opportunity.”
The Mexico City edition will feature the exhibition’s most popular installations alongside a brand‑new room created exclusively for the capital. This local gallery will celebrate the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez and Mexico’s racing icons, with a special focus on Sergio Pérez.
“Every city has its own Formula 1 story,” said Jonathan Linden, Co‑CEO of Round Room Live and producer of the exhibition. “In Mexico, that story is inseparable from the passion of the fans and the legacy of the circuit. We wanted to honour that.”
Linden emphasised that the exhibition always adapts to its host city: “Each edition recognises the local heritage and local heroes of its host location. Mexico’s connection to Formula 1 is deep and emotional, and we’re excited to bring that to life.”
Spanning more than 2,000 square meters, the exhibition guides visitors through six purpose‑built rooms developed with curators, artists, and filmmakers. Each space offers a different perspective on the sport.

The exhibition arrives in Mexico ahead of a highly anticipated 2026 season, which will see Sergio Pérez return to his home Grand Prix with F1’s newest team, Cadillac.
“Mexican fans are among the most passionate in the world,” Prazer said. “Bringing the exhibition here is our way of giving something back — a chance to experience Formula 1 in a completely new way.”
Linden echoed that sentiment:
“We want fans to walk out feeling closer to the sport than ever before. If they leave inspired, curious, or emotional, then we’ve done our job.”
