The reason behind Racing Bull's special livery in Barcelona

Racing Bulls, together with Visa and Cash App, has unveiled a striking new identity for the Spanish Grand Prix weekend: a football‑inspired special livery and a bespoke teamwear collection that merge the visual languages of two of the world’s most passionately followed sports.
The VCARB 03’s Barcelona design draws directly from football culture, blending sharp geometry, angular shapes and bold contrasts to create a look that feels equally at home on the grid, on match day or as part of contemporary streetwear.
Central to the design is a custom VCARB FC crest that unites the chequered flag with three stars — a tribute to the tournament’s three host nations and a nod to VCARB’s third season in Formula One. The accompanying teamwear collection channels both retro and modern football shirt aesthetics, reinforcing the crossover between motorsport performance and football‑fashion identity.
Featuring drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad, the campaign extends beyond the circuit and imagines a world in which the VCARB FC Barcelona jersey exists naturally within football‑fashion culture.
The project also reinforces VCARB’s commitment to emerging creative talent. Three members of the team’s Creator Platform — fashion designer Hattie Crowther, graphic designer Florence Burns and photographer Ezra Alexander — played key roles in shaping the campaign.
Crowther designed a limited‑edition VCARB FC scarf using stretched typography, repeated linework and fragmented track markings. Burns developed the key visual language for VCARB FC, including brand stamps and physical touchpoints for the team’s garage.
Alexander captured behind‑the‑scenes content from the shoot, documenting the fusion of football and Formula One aesthetics. All three creatives will join the team in Barcelona to experience the project firsthand and interpret VCARB FC through their own artistic lens.

Peter Bayer, CEO of VCARB, emphasised the shared cultural energy that underpins the collaboration, saying: “Formula One and Football are two global sports with incredibly passionate communities, united by a shared sense of identity, creativity and culture.
"With VCARB FC, we're celebrating that crossover, bringing together the energy of both sports. We're also proud to give emerging talent the opportunity to help shape campaigns like this, bringing fresh perspectives that continue to push the boundaries in the world of F1.”
Zack Ashley, Head of Global Partnerships at Block, highlighted the significance of launching such a concept in Barcelona, noting: “This collaboration builds on a concept first developed in partnership with Cash App, bringing a shared vision of fandom and culture to life on track.
"Two of the biggest stages in sport are colliding in one of the most football-obsessed cities on earth and that kind of moment demands more. Together with VCARB, we wanted to celebrate what makes fandom universal: community.
"The special livery and matchday-inspired jersey are a love letter to that energy — the speed, the belonging, the shared passion, and the Cash App Visa card is how every fan gets their piece of it.”
